KAA offer support and information for youths who are 16-19 years old, who are not enrolled in upper secondary school or have not completed the secondary school diploma.
Kommunala aktivitetsansvaret (KAA) is the municipality’s scheme to ensure gainful activity for youths who are 16-19 years old, who have completed compulsory schooling and who are not enrolled in upper secondary school or have not completed the secondary school diploma.
If you meet these criteria, you are automatically enrolled in KAA. It is a municipal initiative, which, according to the Education Act Chapter 29, Section 9, is responsible to inform young people not in school about educational or other alternatives that are available to them.
KAA is part of the Career and Guidance Center in Gothenburg as well as Department of Social Services and are here to offer support and information. We offer individual career guidance and together with you, we create a plan forward towards education or gainful activity.
To do this, we need some information. Therefore, we would like you to answer a few questions. You will find them here on the homepage of this website when you press the box labelled “Har du fått ett brev från oss?” (Have you received a letter from us?). You can also reach us either by phone or e-mail, you will find our contact information on this website.
Even if you don’t need our support, please answer us anyway so we can update the system.
