How to become a supplier to the City of Gothenburg

We work with many suppliers to help develop Gothenburg. Here you can read how to submit a tender and become a supplier to the City of Gothenburg.

Procurement step by step

Here is a quick overview of the tender process. For a more detailed guide, you can use our Tender Guide for Businesses.
  1. 1

    Find the procurement

Do you want to supply goods or services to the City of Gothenburg? Here you can find all our published procurements:

All companies and organizations can participate, regardless of size or experience.

  2. 2

    Understand the procurement

Find out what needs, requirements, and conditions apply to the procurement you are interested in.

    Tips:

    • Read all documents well in advance.
    • Check which documents, certificates, certifications, and references are required.
    • Start gathering all necessary material early.
    • Ask questions in the procurement tool if anything is unclear.
  3. 3

    Submit a tender

To submit a tender, you need to create a user account in the procurement tool used for that particular procurement. During a transition period, the City of Gothenburg is using both TendSign and Kommers Annons.

The entire city will gradually transition to Kommers Annons until 2027.

Register your account well before the tender deadline.

Once your account is ready, you will gain access to the procurement documents, which describe what is being procured and what requirements apply.

    Checklist when submitting a tender:

    • Answer all requested information and follow all instructions carefully.
    • Ensure your tender meets all requirements and conditions.
    • Submit your tender before the deadline – late tenders cannot be accepted.
  4. 4

    What happens next?

When the tender period ends, we evaluate all tenders. We then make a decision on which supplier(s) will be awarded the contract – this is called an award decision.

After the decision, there is normally a standstill period of ten days. This gives suppliers who were not awarded the contract the opportunity to request a review if they wish.

When the standstill period has passed, we sign a contract with the supplier who won the procurement.
