IB grades!

Publicerad 18 augusti 2020

IB has now responded and have decided to use your IA as the main evidence of your final grade in relation to your predicted grade as follows.

Dear Student,
Along with over 700 schools worldwide, IHGR have submitted requests for subject level
reviews of the May 2020 results due to some level of discrepancies between your IA grades,
your predicted grades and what you eventually received from IB as your final grade.
IB has now responded and have decided to use your IA as the main evidence of your final
grade in relation to your predicted grade as follows:
Students’ subject final grade results will be adjusted to be equal to the internal assessment
(IA) result when the predicted grade was only one grade less, equal to or greater than the IA
grade. The student will be awarded their IA grade as their final grade for that subject in these
cases.
This means the following:
 If your predicted grade is higher than the IA grade, then the IA grade will be applied
as the final grade.
 If your predicted grade is the same as the IA grade, then the IA grade will be applied.
 If your predicted grade is one grade point below the IA, then the IA grade will be
applied as the final grade.
Please note that no student will receive a lower grade than what was received previously.
Grade changes will be made automatically after 11am today (August 17th). IB will inform
universities automatically of the new grade.
