In the Health and Social Care Program, you combine studies in care work, psychology, and psychiatry with practical training in various parts of the healthcare sector. You also study general subjects such as languages and social sciences. The demand for personnel with healthcare education will remain high for many years across the entire industry. The program leads to a vocational diploma, but you can also take additional courses to qualify for university or college after high school.
20 Weeks of Practical Training
Workplace-based learning is an important part of the education. You will have 20 weeks of practical training spread over three years.
Also Available as an Apprenticeship
An apprenticeship means you spend two days at school and three days in practical training each week. The theoretical subjects are studied together with apprentices from different vocational programs. Your supervisor and vocational teacher work together to plan, follow up, and assess your education.
